This class is for oil painters who want to improve their skills for painting en plein air and in the studio. In this studio class, we will paint landscapes and do exercises that specifically focus on refining our handling of the medium and achieving the effects we want. We will learn how to mix and paint with fresh, clean color and how the use of form, line, value and temperature is important in good painting. We will learn how to make decisions and choices to keep our painting process on track. We will utilize memory exercises to improve our paintings. Students at all levels of painting will be able to improve through this process.
