Learn the process for illustrating a children's book, from rough thumbnail sketches to a 10-to-16 page mock-up. We willl study elements such as page design, character development, and pacing, and explore how to combine them to create a compelling book. This class is open both to beginners and to those already acquainted with the field. Students are welcome to bring a book idea to develop in class, although the focus of the class will be on developing the illustrations rather than the writing.
