Johanna Finnegan-Topitzer is a recognized artist in her medium. She shows her work at galleries in New Hampshire, Maine and North Carolina. She has been invited to be in fine craft shows in major cities. Most recently she was selected to work with internationally known artist, Doug Beube, at the Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina in a workshop exploring the book as sculptural form. Johanna is trained in the craft of hand bookbinding and creates her books in the traditional way — sewing together each page and often covering the book in finely tanned leather. She takes the book form further and creates sculptural books focusing on nature and conveying through words and images the story of the natural world.
