Anthony Alemany
Anthony Alemany is a figurative sculptor in South Berwick, Maine. He was born in Chattanooga, TN and grew up in Ringgold, GA. Anthony graduated with a BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design and traveled to Italy to study at the Florence Academy of Art for a foundation in traditional sculpture. After moving to Maine, he worked for 8 years in business management and discovered his passion for sculpture was inescapable. Anthony now works as a full-time sculptor. His work has been exhibited in museums and galleries in both national and international competitions. “I see fine art as a language. It communicates powerful truths that are uniquely human in a way that words cannot express. Art becomes relevant when we can relate to it on a deeper, spiritual level. My sculptures are more than just portraits and figures. They tell a story. Sometimes that story is literal, sometimes metaphorical, but it’s always human.”
