SA 18 INTRODUCTION TO CERAMICS with Rebecca Emerson
8 Weeks
Wednesday 10 - 1
October 2 – November 20
Are you curious about working with clay? This class is perfect for you! Our primary focus will be on becoming comfortable with clay and understanding the process of transforming a simple lump into a finished, glazed piece. You'll explore various techniques, starting with making pinch and coil pots, and then moving on to the basics of wheel throwing, including centering and pulling. Next-step decorating techniques are also explored. Don't forget to bring an old towel and dress for a messy, hands-on experience.
$70 Lab fee includes 25 lbs. clay, a basic 8 piece tool kit, glazes, and firing costs up to 8 pieces and is included in tuition.
