SA 18 SKETCHING IN CLAY FROM LIFE with Anthony Alemany

February 21 – April 11
This 8-week course explores capturing the gesture or essence of a pose. Anthony Alemany will teach his approach to modeling the human figure quickly from life in water based clay. We’ll create 2-3 dynamic gesture sketches exploring a range of poses from various models. Each sketch will be 6-9 hours long (2-3 classes). Classes will include demonstrations, working from a live model and one on one feedback. This class will emphasize composition, observation, interpretation, and most importantly, fun! Students will have the option to fire their pieces at the end of the course for an additional fee. $105 model and clay fee included in tuition.
