Relief printing is a versatile method of printmaking involving carving and removing a portion of the printing plate to produce a design that can be stamped or printed on paper or fabric. Over two days this course will introduce you to linoleum block printing, stamp making, foam printing, creating printed editions, and printing patterns on fabric. Each student will receive their own linoleum carving tool to continue creating and printing after the workshop. Materials fee includes a carving tool, a 6” x 6” block to carve into as well as paper, fabric and ink. $35 lab fee included in tuition
