SA 9 THE PLEASURE OF SKETCHING with Carol Ann Morley

$289.00

6 Weeks

Thursday 1 - 4

February 20 – March 27

Enjoy the relaxed art of loose sketching and unfinished drawings. Not every work has to be a finished representational drawing to be enjoyed. Sketches have a freshness and completeness of their own of places visited or scenes glimpsed. Find ways to capture a still life or scene with a few simple lines. Try sketching on toned paper and experiment with texture and mixed media to create depth and interest. We will work from still life set-ups and photo imagery and study the works of master artists to see how they achieve compositional balance, point of interest and clarity in their work. Instruction includes how to draw in proportion and what to choose to draw to create a visual narrative. $4 lab fee included in tuition
