Soaring high, swooping in for an attack, floating atop a swelling surf, darting amongst the undergrowth, all shapes and sizes of birds will be looked at, talked about, explored. Some students focus on bird skeletons and bones, while others try to capture birds in flight, and still others look for a prominent portrait among flowers. Whatever might be your interest in birds is fair game. Tackle your interest in birds with any medium you wish, be it oils, acrylics, watercolors, graphite or even collage. Plan to experiment and have fun with these delightful creatures that fill our skies. We will talk a little about bird watching and how birds have influenced poetry and music and even movies. There will of course be instruction on color, composition and the formal elements of picture making.
